The majority of our professional, caring therapists are bicultural, bilingual, and Spanish-speaking. We specialize in the treatment of post-traumatic, anxiety, and depressive disorders of children, adolescents, adults, and elderly and human trafficking victims, providing crisis intervention and long-term individual and family therapy. On an as needed basis, we also provide home visits.
We provide services in Los Angeles and Orange counties and work very close with city, county and state Social Service agencies, police departments, victims advocates, and community service programs. |

LaTEENa Power: 7 Inner Strengths
for Creating Success |
| |
|
Lateena Power! was created to empower Latina
youth to envision and pursue their goals
and thereby attain the success they deserve.
The program is based on the premise—developed by
psychologist Dr. Ana Nogales in her groundbreaking
book, Latina Power!—that Latinas inherit 7 cultural
strengths and can use them to succeed in life.
Lateena Power! participants explore the 7 strengths
inherent within them—and learn how to develop and
use these strengths to envision their future, set desired
goals, reach out to mentors, and work toward achieving
their dreams.
Issues Covered in the
Lateena Power! Program
Self-awareness
Personal goals & dreams
Valuing education
Successful role models
Friendships & peer pressure
Confronting dating abuse
Teen pregnancy
Depression & suicide
Overcoming fears
Parental vs. personal expectations
Earning, budgeting & saving money
Finding a mentor
Honoring & respecting yourself
Lateena Power! can be used in an English
Language-Arts-based class and is appropriate
for both traditional and alternative
instructional settings. The lessons/sessions provide
students practice in writing, research, technology, and
communication skills. |

We are running a study within Spanish speaking population to evaluate the effects of parent's infidelity in children development.
Similar studies were analized in the book "Parents Who Cheat: How Infidelity Affects Children and Adults."
If you speak Spanish or know someone that may be interested in participating please share this link with them.
